ARISE Project Crisis Fund

Arise Project Workers offer high quality advice, support and welfare to all their clients. These workers are funded through local authority grants, and other mainstream funds. It does not fund all the personal and family essentials that many of us take for granted, but that many of those we work with living with, or affected by, HIV/AIDS cannot afford. Many are cut off from their home and families. So any help we can give is crucial, and all the more important.

Our HIV Crisis fund aims to address this. In order to raise funds, we have set up the Arise to enable us to provide sustained practical support to clients. If you are a UK tax payer please remember to sign the gift aid declaration on the form which allows us to claim back tax on your donation, at no extra cost to you! This means that for every pound you give we will receive an extra 28 pence from the Inland Revenue, making your donation go further, for example turning £10 into £12.80.

Donations don’t have to be money. If you are a business which would like to help the Crisis Fund you may be able to provide an extra dimension of support. In the past local firms have donated toys at Christmas, electrical goods, or even skilled labour when it was needed, such as electrical work or plumbing. In fact some of the really critical demand is for people to help when, say, a cooker has broken and there’s no money to fix it or the sink is leaking and a plumber costs too much.
