Local Involvement Network Team Manager

Full-time: 35 hours per week
Scale: NJC Scale PO point 33, £27,492
Based: 6 Great Jackson Street, Manchester
Fixed Term: maternity cover
(expected to run to February 2010)

Manchester’s Local Involvement Network (LINk) engages with local community groups to make sure people can voice their views and opinions about health and social care effectively. The LINk Manager works with 4 staff and a steering group of volunteers to identify gaps in services and how services can be improved – and to widen public involvement. The ability to set up training packages; support, advise and guide groups/organisations in ways that facilitate learning and capacity building; previous experience of managing and developing staff teams, and ability to make decisions, delegate and assist others in making decision all essential.
