Staff Team

BHA is governed by a Board of Directors who bring a range of experience and expertise including finance, human resources, strategic development, health policy and development. The Board provides strategic direction and support for the organisation via the Chief Executive, through the workings of three sub committees focusing on Strategic Development, Financial Management and Human Resources issues.

Paid Staff

BHA has over 70 paid staff working across its range of services. As the organisation has grown, so has the structure developed towards a balance between strategic and operational management. The management team also divides itself between those responsible for service and project delivery and those providing corporate support services.

Volunteers

Many of our services provide volunteering opportunities either to directly deliver services or to provide administrative support. We currently have 150 volunteers. In addition, some projects offer student placements and there are currently social work students placed within the organisation.
