Young Black Peerspectives
Young Black Peerspectives (formerly the Young Black People’s Peer Education Project) have been working with BME and Refugee and Asylum Seeker young people aged 13-25 in inner city Manchester, Trafford and Salford since 1999.
We visit schools and youth settings to deliver peer-led education on a variety of citizenship topics including health and self development.
In addition to group work, we offer one to one support for young refugee and asylum seeking young people aged 17-25 and unaccompanied minors. This includes advice and support on accessing services and helping to resolve everyday concerns.
Why not come and visit our drop-in at the Kath Locke Centre in Hulme? Every day 10-12 and 4:30-5:30 for sexual health advice and information including FREE condoms, pregnancy testing, and testing for Chlamydia or Gonorrhea. Anything you tell us is completely confidential so please feel free to visit our drop-in for advice about any of the above plus information about training, employment and education including CV and application checking and placement possibilities.
If you want us to come and work with your school or youth group, get in touch!
